During his career, Senator Anderson managed upwards of 300 people at Fannie Mae – helping people get loans for homes across the NW.
After retirement, he was elected Mayor of Lincoln City where he:
- Wiithout any cost to taxpayers, built a police station and a hospital
- Developed a one-of-the-kind early learning child care into the city
- Worked with all the stakeholders in the community to make dramatic changes to the cities future

- Passed Senate Bill 974, ground-breaking red-tape-cutting legislation that streamlines permitting across the state to get homes & apartments built faster
- Championed Governor Kotek Housing bill (SB 1537) that opened up lands across cities for development while maintaining our land use system
- Pushed for dollars for Affordable Housing in the billions now to build massive affordable housing projects in all areas of Oregon. Metro and Rural housing projects have benefited from over $2.5 billion dollars of investment
- Economic development across the state through targeted investments in city infrastructure and good paying jobs like investing $100 million dollars in the Coos Bay to build out the Port of Coos Bay for great paying union jobs
